Our Words Become Our Warfare

We need to stop ending phrases with “to death”, for example:

I love you “to death”

I eat it “to death”

I apologize “to death”

I want that “to death”

In the natural, it seems to add importance, and it does. But in the spiritual, it adds importance and becomes the weapon formed against us. In other words, we’ve given the enemy of our souls a list of things to attack. And the weaponry is to use our words to distract, immobilize, and destroy us. Which inevitably derails us from our purposeful lives.

Sometimes we forget how the enemy operates. We are studied to find things that can be used to destroy us. And one of the easiest observations is to listen to our words. For out of the mouth the heart speaks, and we often use this scripture to define evil people speaking bad things. But good people speak from their heart also, and the enemy is using our words to find out how to effectively attack us. Becoming mindful of the words we speak can cut down on some of our warfare.
