The enemy of our souls tries to convince us that a step of faith ends in destruction, and unfortunately sometimes we believe it. Why? Because the enemy of our souls is not only deceitful but wise. He knows not to present himself as himself. So, he manipulates our environment.
Faith is the hope for something greater than our current situation or means can supply. So, the enemy attacks the supply. Unexpected bills or regular sustaining bills prove we can’t afford this step. Family and friends question the reasoning or rationale behind this step. A busy life suggests that we don’t have time for this step. But you know in your knower that this is the will of God for your life. So, what do you do?
Make sure this step of faith is presented to you by God and not your wishful thinking. Once convinced this is an actual step of faith. Let God know you are aware of the problems and ask God to keep you focused on the process. Until God allows, the best way to hold on to your faith is to not tell anyone the object of your faith. And let God be God! God knows everything about you. Get you out of the equation and follow Him. He will perfect your faith, all things concerning you, and complete the task.
Our problem is not the step of faith; our problem is us. We get out of our place of mere humans and try to help God with His vision. If he tells us, shows us, or sends someone else to provoke us to do anything. He will bring it to completion. Steps of faith are God’s will carried out by His people. So, we only need to focus on following Him. Take the pressure of success off yourself; this is His business.
