Psalms 19:12-13
12 But how can I ever know what sins are lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. 13 And keep me from deliberate wrongs; help me to stop doing them. Although the Bible teaches us to confess sin to one another, some struggles bring us to a place of unmentionable shame. The secret faults that we would love to take to our graves. The secret faults that would damage our reputations and possibly some valuable relationships. The ones we feel are so heinous that shared with the wrong person could ruin us. If these words apply to you, you are not alone. I want to encourage you that even when you do not want to share your secret faults with family, friends, or accountability partners, please do not hide your secret faults from God. God sees, God knows, and God provides us with ways of escape when we are tempted, but there are times that we fall short, and God forgives.
We cannot be so ashamed that we refuse to confess the sin to God and repent. This mentality is a trick of the devil and is devised to keep us mentally tormented and spiritually distant from God. God hates sin and will not be in the presence of it. But God loves us and when we confess sin we are forgiven. This forgiveness restores us to an open relationship with God. We cannot allow the devil to shame us out of this relationship.
Repentance is not to be used as a crutch or an excuse to sin. But there are some strongholds in some of our lives that are fortresses, and we need to be delivered. And for many of us, deliverance is happening in stages because we are not mentally or physically strong enough to withstand the powers of darkness attached to them. This is not to say that we cannot be delivered but may require a layer-by-layer removal rather than a clean sweep.
Know that you have everything within you to be free from the bondage of the secret fault. Also, know that the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding you to total deliverance. Deliverance can be instantaneous but for some of us, it is a process. Deliverance may start with casting out, may require some fasting, and sometimes counseling sessions to get the full manifestation. Just know that if you are struggling with it, you are not in willful sin, and deliverance is available to you. Do not be deceived into thinking deliverance will never come, do not be tricked out of the power of confession and repentance, and do not hide your secret faults from God.
Prayer:
To the Almighty Magnificent Father, we praise your power, stand in awe of your majesty, and bask in your unconditional love. Thank you for life, fellowship, and the hope of eternity in your presence. As we are foreigners in this land, please keep us from contaminating our spirits, and breaking our covenant with you. Allow the Holy Spirit to direct our paths, convict our faults, and teach us kingdom living. Holy Spirit please impress upon us the need for quick repentance, restoration, and refocusing of our lives. As we continue to honor you, glorify you on the Earth, and forever praise you.

We can’t hide them anyway! He sees all and knows all and that’s the only way we can go to him. We have to empty so he can fill us.
You are correct! But the enemy of our souls toys with people’s minds and makes them think confession is for God. NO confession is for us because God already knows; confession releases the sin and put us back on task.

Thanks for your support! I believe God is challenging me because there is a need for transparency in the body of Christ. Some of us, if not all of us, fight hard battles against the powers of darkness and someone needs to speak on it. I want to encourage us all but especially those like me who are battling for their place in the kingdom.
