Cameras are everywhere. It’s hard to avoid cameras in some countries and America is catching up. However, technology is progressing to reveal things far greater than the basic camera. Now your tv is recording you when it’s off. Google answering questions asked to others in the room. Your telephone pop-up ads display things you have discussed with others on the telephone.
It makes me feel like humanity is trying to become all seeing and knowing like God. And although technology has advanced the world in surveillance, knowledge, and access to others, it will never be equivalent to God. Technology can record our actions but will never know our heart. But God knows, sees, and understands the heart of all.
We can’t worry about the surveillance of man because if you live right, you act right. So, as we shift our attention to the God that is to be glorified for all His great works (including technology). We realize God even gets the glory from human surveillance, and while some are saying, “Big Brother is Watching You.” Those of us knowing the supremacy of God say, “But Our God is Greater.” Let them watch their backs as we look at the heavens, at the one who truly knows our heart, who will correctly judge our actions, and has established eternity for all.
